The South Carolina Department of Public Safety (SCDPS) announces the following event: 

WHAT:             Induction Ceremony for Meritorious Achievement in Law Enforcement (Seven law enforcement officers to be
                         inducted into the South Carolina Law Enforcement Officers Hall of Fame). 

                         Nominees for this honor must have a proven record of excellence, especially in South Carolina law enforcement as
                         a whole. They must have 25 years minimum of law enforcement service. 

                         The nominees are represented by the following agencies: Cayce Department of Public Safety, Georgetown County
                         Sheriff’s Office, Lexington County Sheriff’s Department, South Carolina Criminal Justice Academy, South Carolina
                         Department of Juvenile Justice, SouthCarolina Highway Patrol, and South Carolina Law Enforcement Division 

WHEN:            Wednesday, November 15, 2023, at 10 a.m. 

WHERE:           SC Criminal Justice Academy Gymnasium, 5400 Broad River Road 

The South Carolina Department of Public Safety includes the Highway Patrol, State Transport Police, Bureau of Protective Services, Office of Highway Safety and Justice Programs, and the South Carolina Law Enforcement Officers Hall of Fame.
