Alan Parker and his team manage several crucial components that support the operations of the Department of Public Safety, including the agency’s large vehicle fleet, Central Evidence Facility (CEF), and building and lease management across the state.

Before bringing his talents to state government, Parker had an extensive career in the manufacturing sector that included compliance, operations, and serving as a purchasing manager. Parker first worked for SCDPS from 2013 to 2014, and returned in 2020. In the interim years, he remained in state government, working at the SC Budget and Control Board and the SC Department of Administration. Before returning to SCDPS, Parker oversaw the state’s extensive vehicle fleet program for the Department of Administration.

He earned his Bachelor’s degree from the University of South Carolina.
